Need for Speed

Well, we love video games but we are firm believers that people should get outside and exercise as well. We want our youth to be fit and active. We believe that an active body promotes an active mind.

That said, there are certainly gadgets that can make outdoor activities more fun! I remember being an active athlete as a child playing football and baseball. One of the things that we always wanted to know is who threw the ball the fastest. In football, it was about delivering the ball to the receiver as quickly as possible (and on target). In baseball, it was all about the heater. Of course accuracy was important but the higher speed always made us a little more proud.

Back then, of course, we didn’t have access to a speed gun all of the time so it was always a real treat when one was available. Well, now the products are at your fingertips like everything else. You can get a sports radar gun for under $300 or you can spend as much as $5000 for an on site traffic radar monitor (the kind you see in many neighborhoods). They have all kinds of great products ranging from a couple hundred dollars to a couple thousand dollars. It just depends on what you need for accuracy.
